Age and Grade Groups for the 2018 Spring Season
Beginners are always welcome. The younger division (Boys 8 and under or Girls grades 1/2) is less competitive and more instructional in focus and therefore are not grouped by skill. The upper divisions (Boys 10U, 12U, 14U or Girls 3/4, G5/6, G7/8) are grouped into divisions by skill level and experience. Scoopers (Boys 6U or Girls Pre-K/K) is set up as instructional and fun clinics for very young beginners.
Girls Grade Groups
All players are assigned to teams based on the grade their grade as of spring. Players will be required to show proof of grade with a current year report card after teams are assigned.
"Girls Scoopers" is for Pre-K and Kindergarden girls will be 5 by June 30th, 2018.
Girls 1/2 - 1st and 2nd grade girls. Also, Kindergarten girls that will turn 6 by December 31st, 2017 and who have participated in two seasons of Scoopers will be eligible for Girls 1/2.

8U - Players who were 6 or 7 years old on Aug 31st, 2017. Protective Equipment is provided for Boy U9 players. U9 is a "house" program will all games at home.
6U Scoopers - Players who were 4 or 5 years old on Aug 31st, 2017. There are separate boys and girls programs in the spring. No protective equipment required.
Parents must certify the age of their son during registration as well as that the address provided at registration is his/her primary residence.
Also, all players must submit proof of birth date using new US Lacrosse age verification system prior to evaluations either by birth certificate, DMV youth ID card, current passport, or military dependent card.

*Boys and Girls Commissioner Note: Players will be assigned to teams in their age division. We will not field requests from parents to have their players "play up" to an older division. Under certain circumstances, such as if the number of players in a particular division does not allow us to meet the NVYLL restrictions on roster sizes, the commissioner may request that selected players "play up" to the next higher division.
